Lawful Good Episode #10: Ben Crump
Dear X Social Friends,You probably already know that we’re a sponsor of the Lawful Good podcast. I was listening to an episode the other day and this story stood out to me…Luke W Russell (the interviewer): I imagine some of our listeners might be hearing you and thinking, wow, Anne, she is an extraordinary woman. I wish I could be like her, but I don’t have it in me. What would you say to that person?Anne Andrews (mass tort and bankruptcy attorney): I didn’t think I had it in me. I just did it. And to the people who have doubt, you put one foot in front of the other, you have good days, you have bad days. Listen, everybody talks about all the cases they won. You want to talk about the cases I lost? Picking myself up off the ground literally for two weeks feeling like I had a horse sitting on my chest and couldn’t get up. The pain of loss was so hard on me. The courtroom and the jury system is precious but it’s also extremely unpredictable and volatile. Overcoming doubt, it was hard for me. I look back at my career when I was just starting out, I didn’t know how I was going to pay the bills or keep the lights on, I just did it.Stories like the one I just shared are so important for lawyers to hear, and there just aren’t that many people telling them. Thankfully, Luke and his team are passionate about people’s stories and how they can use the power of story to help individuals who are facing tragedy get their feet back under them.Several years ago, Luke told me that his advertising agency, Russell Media, are the best in the industry at developing powerful creatives. He said that they tell stories that connect with prospects in ways that no one else does. That felt like a bold statement to me.And over the last two years, we’ve collaborated with Russell Media, sharing some of the same clients, and I can tell you: yes, Russell Media has incredible talent at developing powerful creatives when it comes to the legal industry. The podcast, Lawful Good, is just one demonstration of this.Luke’s shared with me the following:On social media, your biggest competition isn’t your competitors. It’s all the OTHER posts that people could be reading. It’s memes and rants and pictures from friends’ vacations. It’s the time that people can be spending watching a video of a cute cat, rather than clicking on your ad.That’s why we put so much into our messaging and creatives. If you say the typical lawyer things and tell people they can be compensated for their injury, you’ll most likely be ignored. We craft our ads to meaningfully engage with prospects so that they cut through the clutter of social media and give people a real reason to stop what they’re doing, read more, and contact the law firm. The secret behind our industry-leading creatives is three-fold: research, empathy, and variety.First, we research the living daylights out of topics, seeking to better understand prospects.Second, we build on this research to craft highly empathetic ads that speak to the problems and emotions of prospects.Third, we do so with a variety of different angles, since not every prospect will respond to the same type of message. If you’re like me, maybe your interest is piqued. If so, here are the types of campaigns Russell Media specializes in:– Mass Torts– Sexual Assault Claims– Nursing Home Abuse– Motorcycle AccidentsYou can contact my good friend, Luke, the following ways:– Cell: 317-855-8597– Email:– Website: russellmedia.usLike I said, I’ve sent some of my clients over to use Russell Media in tandem with our campaigns because together we go far. Last year, Russell Media started collaborating with us to harness our data prowess. Again, together we go far.If you’re looking to add another vendor to your lineup, I strongly recommend giving Luke a call.Sincerely,JacobP.S. Luke interviewed one of our well-known clients, Ben Crump, recently. That episode can be found here you hear this interview, I think you’ll see how special the team over at Russell Media is. They don’t take the road well-traveled. Luke and his team look for ways to tell powerful stories to connect with their audiences. Luke has been nationally recognized in the legal industry for nearly ten years now as a producer of powerful and unique content. You won’t be disappointed by the care they give every single client and campaign.

Phillips CPAP Recall – Cancer Causing Foam? + Connect with XSM In Vegas this Week!

Posted on: July 13th, 2021 by Marc P No Comments
Philips CPAP Recall
First we always remember that when a new tort comes along we are talking maximum risk as not much is known yet about the project and not many studies have been done yet on this PUR foam being used in the Phillips CPAP machine to damper the noise from the engine.
So lets start with what we do know.
Voluntary Recall: Philips CPAP/BiPAP/ASV Sleep Apnea Machines got recalled on June 14, 2021.
What is nice about a voluntary recall is that you have time to make a 2nd product ready to replace the recalled product. However not so nice for the people that are breathing deathly cancer causing PUR foam. I am sure the evidence will show that Phillips knew long before they decided to recall the product that the PUR foam used was cancer causing. (Look into It).
How Many Victims: There are between 1-2 million Phillips CPAP machines in United states. Worldwide recall of 3-4 million machines for our European Mass Tort friends.
We know why the Phillips CPAP’s got recalled: Polyurethane (PUR) foam inside the CPAP machines puts users at risk for leukemia, breast cancer, liver cancer, lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, kidney cancer, and many more potentially deadly cancers. We know that PUR is a cancer causing agent, just like gasoline. In fact the foam is often referred to as “Solid Gasoline”.
Problem: So here is the problem in a nut shell. The foam, made from polyester-based polyurethane (PUR), decomposes over time. As it does so, it emits toxic gases that can cause illness, including asthma, headache, nausea and vomiting, hypersensitivity, respiratory problems, cognitive difficulties, and a number of different cancers.
What we are looking for:
Exposure: More then 6 month use of a recalled Phillips CPAP machine
Injuries: Several cancers are caused by inhaling gases emitted from polyurethane foam, including:• Leukemia• Breast cancer• Lymphatic cancer• Liver cancer• Nasal cancer• Lung cancer• Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL)• Brain cancer• Multiple Myeloma• Prostate cancer• Bladder cancer• Testicular cancer• Stomach cancer• Hematopoietic cancer• Papillary carcinoma and other thyroid cancers

Acquisition Prices.

This feels a lot like a Zantac but with more cancers and its easier to figure out if they used the product or not. Everyone with a CPAP machine knows exactly what mark and model they have. We think here is the beginning cancer cases are less then $500 and the price will increase as the market becomes aware of this new developing tort. I do want to Caution everybody that the earlier you get involved in a tort the more risk you are taking.

What nobody is taking but should be considered.
As we all know it takes time from exposure to a cancer diagnoses. Nobody are doing medical monitoring of the people that used the CPAP machines for future cancer diagnoses and the day the cancer does show up that person will have no SOL. A class of medical monitoring or taking all Phillip CPAP users for future claims is not being considered by anybody. I am sure there is a reason why ?
The Other New Tort Paraquat.
The cases have become easier to find as we have gotten more data on this tort. We are seeing case cost dropping in price from over $4,500 per case down towards as low as under $2-3k per case if you chose to take both diagnosed patients and patients with symptoms from indirect exposure.
1M people live with Parkinson’s and 60k people are diagnosed each year.

Amy Lawrence-Lovely and Justin Lovely on Lawful Good Podcast
Hold on to your hats, folks, because you’re about to go on an emotional, hilarious, and wonderful ride with the Lovely’s during this week’s episode of Lawful Good.

Amy Lawrence-Lovely and Justin Lovely were born in the south and met during law school. Amy’s primary focus is in criminal defense and Justin’s is with personal injury. Together, they bring incredible insights to each other’s cases.
This conversation is not about what they’ve done as lawyers. Yes, the fact they overturned a murder charge for an innocent man is amazing and impressive. However, what you’re about to hear is even more than that. Justin and Amy are two people who are committed to doing good in the world and, above all, are each other’s biggest fans.
In this episode, we’re going to explore their entrepreneurial beginnings along with moments of financial panic, like when giving birth to their first child resulted in a hospital bill greater than their savings. There’s a lot for us to learn from Amy and Justin in how to stay focused on goals when times are tough. And for anyone wondering if you can be married and run a successful practice as equals, this interview will provide a definitive answer.
